I work by their ethical principles and codes of professional conduct. I also hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate. As an accredited member of the UKCP, all my work is supervised.
My approach
As a therapist/ counsellor and integrative psychotherapist, I combine several therapeutic models to provide a bespoke response to your needs (using many different theories and methods, depending on which will be most beneficial to you at this time). Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Existential therapy, Gestalt therapy, Humanistic therapies, Person-centred therapy, Play therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Solution-focused brief therapy, Transactional analysis, Phenomenology therapy,’ here and now’, and somatic therapy-body-mind.
Where I work
I work in the centre of Newcastle from my private therapy room, located just a short walk from Monument Metro Station and Central Station.
I offer morning, evening, weekend and daytime appointments.
In the first instance, you can call, email or email me to set up an initial session, where we will talk about what you want to get from therapy. If you are happy to continue, I will set up a second session and arrange to see you on what we decide will work for you.
You are most welcome to contact me for an initial telephone consultation on 07944389873 or email me to discuss your needs at avia35@hotmail.com.
I will help you to clarify your confusion, support you and help you to connect yourself with meaning and control.
